The price of OPEC basket has fallen to its lowest level since the beginning of 2020

The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) oil basket fell to its lowest level since the start of 2020, falling more than $ 2 on Friday (1 January) rather than a week earlier.

According to the Secretariat of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), the basket of oil prices, which rose to $ 71 per barrel after the testimony of Commander Soleimani, was eased by reduction of tensions between Iran and the United States, Shana reported.

According to the report, the price of a barrel of oil in the OPEC basket was $ 67.4 per barrel on Friday, compared to the same period last week and then have reduced to $ 2.35 per barrel.

Currently it averages the oil prices from 14 countries, namely Algeria, Angola, the Republic of the Congo, Ecuador, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Libya, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Venezuela.

The price of Brent crude oil and West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil were $ 64.85 per barrel and $ 58.97 per barrel respectively, today (Monday, December 9) until the moment this news is published.
